ABOUT EMRS - ASPIRING SCHEME OF MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS (GOVT. OF INDIA)
Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) is a Government of India scheme for model residential school, specifically for Scheduled Tribes across India. It is one of the flagship interventions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and was introduced in the year 1997-98[1] to ensure tribal students get access to quality education in the remote tribal areas. EMRSs are set up in States/UTs with grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India.
ABOUT SCHOOL
The School was started on dt.7th Feb. 2022. This School is being run by Tribal Welfare Dept., Govt. of Chhattisgarh,
The School is meant for talented children predominantly from rural/tribal areas of Chhattisgarh. School is co-educational and fully residential. The School is running up to class VIII. The Govt. is providing free education including boarding and lodging along with free uniforms, textbooks, and stationery. The medium of instruction is English . and 50% of seats are reserved for girls
